A NEW PARTNERSHIP Marist College has partnered with Scuola Lorenzo de' Medici, the largest study abroad provider in Florence, to offer undergraduate students the opportunity to live and study in Florence through two unique programs:

The Bachelor’s Degree program is a four-year degree program offered by Marist College in collaboration with Lorenzo de' Medici and is designed primarily for international students and new freshman applicants in the United States. Marist College is based in New York but offers this program as a satellite degree program through LdM. Upon completion of this program students will receive a Bachelor’s degree from Marist College. All coursework and related activities, including online coursework, are conducted at the LdM sites in Italy. Transfer students from educational institutions worldwide and students who have completed LdM Certificate Programs are eligible to apply for direct entry to the second or third year of the Program. Credit for work already completed is granted on an individual basis after evaluation. STUDY ABROAD FOR VISITING STUDENTSD The study abroad program allows visiting students (students currently matriculated at other institutions) the chance to study at Lorenzo de' Medici (in Florence, Rome or Tuscania) for a semester or year while receiving U.S. college credit.

LORENZO DE' MEDICI At Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM), approximately 150 dedicated and qualified professors from Italy and all over the world teach over 400 different courses in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Studio and Performing Arts, and Italian Language. Classroom-based liberal arts courses supplement traditional teaching methods by using the unrivalled opportunities that Florence offers for investigating the history and cultural heritage of Italy in galleries, palaces, gardens, churches and museums. Additionally, LdM provides its students with library and computing facilities, a wide range of student clubs and societies, as well as organized cultural events, field trips and site visits. LdM is authorized by the Ministry of Public Education in Italy and has recognition, accreditation and membership in a number of European and international educational organizations. |
